And [2532] said [2036] [5627] unto his [0848] servants [3816], This [3778] is [2076] [5748] John [2491] the Baptist [0910]; he [0846] is risen [1453] [5681] from [0575] the dead [3498]; and [2532] therefore [1223] [5124] mighty works [1411] do shew forth themselves [1754] [5719] in [1722] him [0846].

For [1063] Herod [2264] had laid hold [2902] [5660] on John [2491], and bound [1210] [5656] him [0846], and [2532] put [5087] [5639] [him] in [1722] prison [5438] for [1223] [0000] Herodias' [2266] sake [1223], his [0848] brother [0080] Philip's [5376] wife [1135].

For [1063] John [2491] said [3004] [5707] unto him [0846], It is [1832] [0000] not [3756] lawful [1832] [5748] for thee [4671] to have [2192] [5721] her [0846].

And [2532] when the men [0435] of that [1565] place [5117] had knowledge [1921] [5631] of him [0846], they sent out [0649] [5656] into [1519] all [3650] that [1565] country round about [4066], and [2532] brought [4374] [5656] unto him [0846] all [3956] that were [2192] [5723] diseased [2560];

And [2532] besought [3870] [5707] him [0846] that [2443] they might [0680] [0000] only [3440] touch [0680] [5672] the hem [2899] of his garment [2440]: and [2532] as many as [3745] touched [0680] [5662] were made perfectly whole [1295] [5681].
